CSE480 / CIT480: Senior Capstone Projects Site

Collaborative Portal for Senior Capstone Projects

B.S. in Computer Science
B.S. in Information Technology

Students enrolled in our Bachlelor's program in Computer Science or Information Technology are required to complete and showcase a senior capstone project. The objective of the capstone project is to provide seniors an experience where they apply their knowledge acquired through different courses to build an application that solves a real-world problem. The students work in teams of two or more and thus gain valuable teamwork experience as well. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering therefore encourages our industry and academic collaborators and stakeholders to provide us with projects for implementation by our students.

We also encourage students to submit their project suggestions on to this web site. It is hoped that through collaborations of students and mentors, this site will become a valuable information resource faciliatating the development of interesting and useful proposals for senior design projects in Computer Science, and Information Technology.

Posting Project

Provide details about your project, specifically the types of skills needed for the students to be succesful in completing the project. Also specify any timelines, if applicable. Generally, the more additional references, such as the web sites, articles, books related to the students' projects will serve to prepare them and become productive quickly.

Choose a Project

Students can choose up to three projects that interest them. The department will try to assign them one of the projects that is of interest to them.
